Michael Chain has hit the charts this year with songs off his new Hard Ten Records CD, Songwriter. No stranger to the concert stage (Michael was the lead singer for the original KNACK on Capitol Records), Robert Hilburn, respected music critic of the L.A. Times, listed his band as one of the top 10 greatest concert groups of all time. Michael has played everywhere from honky tonks to Hollywood Bowl and shared stages with everyone from Led Zeppelin to Merle Haggard.
Writing both words and music, Michael’s songs have been recorded by B.J. Thomas, Vicki Lawrence, Wayne Newton, the Knack, John Davidson, the Mills Brothers, Leroy Van Dyke, Eric Anderson, Manuella Torres, and Cheryl Ladd to name a few.
Michael is also an Emmy nominated television writer (Rambo, Punky Brewster, Police Academy, and the Chuck Norris Show) and a top voiceover artist. You’ve heard him as the voice of McDonalds’ Chicken McNuggets, the Transformers, and on countless TV and radio commercials from Budweiser to Sears.
Michael’s new band has been creating quite a buzz in music circles. Nicknamed the GANG by a DJ who flew in to catch their debut, they are all top studio pickers and seasoned concert performers. You have heard them on Ricky Nelson, Linda Ronstadt, Billy Joel, Paul Anka, John Fogerty, Danny O’Keefe, Gabor Szabo, Jackson Browne, Bill Monroe, Bob Seger, Vince Gill, J.D. Souther, the Knack, the Champs…the list goes on and on. You gotta catch these guys live.
