Multi-GRAMMY winning artist and longtime member of Alison Krauss and Union Station, Dan Tyminski is widely acclaimed not only as an instrumentalist, but also a vocalist.
In addition to Union Station, Dan spent 5 years in the Lonesome River Band. He actively tours with his own band, Jerry Douglas and jazz legend Charlie Haden. Tyminski, the singing voice of George Clooney in O Brother, Where Art Thou?, earned numerous song of the year awards for the Stanley Brothers' version of "I Am a Man of Constant Sorrow." A rare feat for a movie soundtrack, Dan won the CMA award for best single, a GRAMMY for best country collaboration and the IBMA honored the soundtrack as the Album of the Year!
Tyminski solo albums include the GRAMMY-nominated and IBMA Album of the Year, Wheels.
In recognition of Dan's lifelong devotion to performing bluegrass and old-time music, the Martin Guitar Company issued a Dan Tyminski Custom Artist Series D28 Dreadnought acoustic.
