A long time ago in a small town called Greenbrae located in Marin
County, California a little girl sat beside her mother and watched a
T.V. show called The Midnight Special. When she was watching this show
she knew she wanted to "rock and soul"! So her mother, being the sweet
and encouraging mother that she was, went to Sears and bought this
little girl a Silvertone acoustic guitar . The little girl sat on the
edge of her bed listening to her pink poodle radio (also from Sears) for
days on end playing along to the her favorite tunes. The little girl
only put the guitar down to eat and go to school. Soon the little girl
decided she wanted an electric guitar so her mother drove back to Sears
and bought her a little Silvertone tube amp and a really nice Silvertone
electric guitar. Soon both her parents were screaming with delight as
their little girl began writing songs and performing for relatives and
friends. The little girl could not get enough and asked her mother if
she could get a piano and a flute. Soon the little girl was jammin' the
ivories and laying down riffs on her flute. She began to rock bigger and
louder than ever before. Nancie's original material can be heard in the
New James Bond Film Quantum Of Solace; the Jeff Goldblum film Fathers &
Sons; CSI Las Vegas season 2; Desperate Housewives; Dog The Bounty
Hunter (2007) as well as Project Open Hand's Acoustic Music Project. Her
original song 'I Don't Know Why' which is featured in the film Father's
& Sons was recently recorded by John Denver's widow Cassandra Delaney
Denver. Her unique home recording techniques have been featured in
Rolling Stone and Musician Magazine.
